Doug Haire is a sound artist, recording engineer, and producer. His commitment to the sonic arts has informed his work with hundreds of musicians and sound artists over the last 26 years. Recording music and sound in a studio setting is a large part of his professional life. Equally as important have been recording treks to 12 countries and across America. He has released seven titles under his name which involve location recordings, improvisation and music concrete. Installations and object assemblage are also a part of his work. Doug is the producer and live broadcast mixer for Sonarchy Radio. Now in it's 17th year on KEXP-FM, Seattle and internationally at kexp.org, Sonarchy Radio features in-studio performances of new music and sound art made in the Pacific Northwest. He is lead engineer/producer at Jack Straw Productions, Seattle, WA.
